According statements by Nigerian foreign Affairs Minister, Mr G. Onyema, plans have been in place to sign visa pact with about 8 African countries to promote economic partnership in both ends.
This was made known in Abuja, on Tuesday 24th may, 2016 at a news conference that marks the presidents Muhammadu Buhari’s one year in office.
Though names of this countries, that make up the pact, are still withheld, the Foreign minister noted serious concern that economic activities among countries had been very low.
He also added that Nigeria was trying to come up with an idea that will meet up with activities in ‘Western Europe; where citizen can easily travel to sister countries without any form of Visa
